Meet the Team
Founder
Charlotte started Marketing for Merchants in December 2022 and runs the marketing side of the business: the strategy, the content, and the work that actually goes out for clients.
She has been in marketing since 2010, across industries you wouldn't expect to find a specialist in: mobility aids, insurance, mechanical engineering, garage equipment and independent builders merchants. She knows how to market businesses that aren't glamorous on paper but are very good at what they do.
She's a Chartered Marketer and holds a Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, so there's substance behind the work, not just good instincts.

Commercial Director
Chris runs the commercial side of Marketing for Merchants. If you're weighing up whether proper marketing support is worth the money, he's usually the first conversation you'll have.
He spent four years inside Kingfisher, the group behind B&Q and Screwfix, most recently as Product Lead for kitchen sinks and taps. He has seen exactly how much budget, data and expertise the national groups put behind winning the same customers independent merchants are competing for. Most of what they do isn't complicated. It's just consistent, and properly resourced.
Before Kingfisher, Chris worked in account management, sales leadership and process improvement at Supertracker, and in operations at Xerox.
Between them, Charlotte and Chris run the business with a small team of specialist freelancers. Senior-level thinking, without the layers of account managers, or the retainers that pay for their lunches.

What Our Clients
Say About Us
"Our previous marketing company required a lot of time and resource on getting content onto socials, Marketing for Merchants have taken a lot of this over, and has a lot of knowledge of our industry.
Very happy with the content and services they provide."
John Levitt, Youngs Timber & Builders Merchants
Marketing for Merchants have been an amazing help to our company.
Creating social media posts, maintaining and updating our website, and also designing adverts and posters. Requests are dealt with quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend"
Becky Cass, Burge & Gunson
"We have been working with Marketing for Merchants for a couple of months now and she has been a great help to our marketing efforts.
Their previous experience working with the Merchant, Importer and Stockist clients that our Merchanter ERP system is designed to serve, means they gets where we are coming from, and how best to speak to them.
So far they have built a new website, got social media work underway and written up case studies and other useful content.
They are really easy to work with, picking up quickly what I am looking for and turning it into great marketing collateral. Their focus on numbers and tracking results makes for a powerful service, making sure campaigns really work for the business, don't just look pretty."
Ian Oldrey, Ten-25 Software
Marketing for Merchants have been doing a fantastic job for us since June 2023.
Initially they handled with ease our numerous brands and were essential in our rebranding to a single, unified, brand.
They get it and don't drop the ball and can work on their own or take direction. Very happy.
Mark Rodger, Build Depot and PerformPipe
